Beale Park is a beautiful, historic neighborhood park in Central Bakersfield's Oleander area and a great spot for families looking for outdoor play, picnics and a way to cool off during the summer. Mature trees provide plenty of shade, while kids can enjoy the playground and FREE seasonal spray park.
The park has lots of room to spread out for a family picnic or afternoon outdoors. Larger groups can also reserve one of the park's group picnic areas for birthdays, reunions and other gatherings.
One of Beale Park's more unique features is its outdoor amphitheater, which has long been used for community performances. Families might also spot -- or hear! -- Bakerfield's well-known flock of green parakeets in the mature trees around the park.

Business Review
While Beale Park hasn't been one of our go-to parks, it has a lot to offer families. The park is spacious, with plenty of room for kids to play and a great variety of amenities. During our visits, I've found the area to be relatively quiet and clean, and the kids always seem to be having a great time. With the playground, open green space, picnic areas, large amphitheater, sports courts, and seasonal spray park, there are plenty of ways for families to enjoy an afternoon here.
