Jefferson Park is a longtime neighborhood park in East-Central Bakersfield offering plenty of opportunities for kids and families to play, get active, and cool off during the summer.
One of the biggest summertime draws is the FREE seasonal spray park where kids can run through the water and cool down on hot Bakersfield days. Jefferson Park also has a separate seasonal public swimming pool, giving families another affordable option for summer water fun.
Outside of the water features, families will find a playground, grassy areas and space for recreation. The park is also known for its basketball courts and includes an outdoor amphitheater.

Jefferson Pool
Jefferson Park also has a separate seasonal public swimming pool. Pool dates, hours and admission are separate from the FREE spray part and may change each summer.

Macaroni KID Tip: The spray park stays open later into the summer season than Jefferson Pool, so be sure to check which water feature is operating before heading out. Bring swimsuits, towels, sunscreen and plenty of drinking water for your visit!
